Accucadd Quickstart Tutorial

The Accucadd Quickstart Tutorial is organized into 15 sections. Section 1 is an introduction to Accucadd, how to install it and how to interact with it. Section 2 explains the basic drawing functions, what scale drawing is, and how screen views of your drawing relate to the printed output. Sections 3 through 13 present a number of drawing projects. You should work through these in order, since project 1 is very much step by step (move the mouse to... and click), whereas project 11 is presented in terms of more general instructions (draw a parallel to..).

The tutorial is in the popular PDF format, and is available in two versions. The content of both versions is the same. The first version is the complete Quickstart in one 1.5MB PDF file. If you have a broad band connection you may want to use this version. The second version has each chapter as a single PDF ranging in size from 24kB to 250kB - much smaller and faster to download if you want to study a single chapter at a time.

We have prepared the tutorial in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format. By doing this you can be assured it will look (and print out) the way we intended -- regardless of computer, browser, or printer hardware. To see the chapters on-screen (or to print it) your browser needs Acrobat (v4 or later) capability.

There are some technical differences between the two versions. The "Entire ... Tutorial" is optimized for printing, and contains a cover. It also has embedded fonts, all of which makes it considerably bigger than the section-by-section version. The "Accucadd ... one ... at a time" is optimized for screen display, and does not contain a cover.

If you do not have Acrobat Reader, you can download the latest version of it, free of charge, by clicking on this Adobe logo    and following the instructions.
