Accucadd program errors arising from Write-protected files.
Accucadd needs to be able to write to many of its own data files in order to operate properly. If it cannot do this you may get a whole series of alarming Accucadd errors, including the following:

Note that the file name and error number, grayed in the above, can vary. You will typically get a succession of several different ones.

This can be for one or more of the following reasons:

at least one of the files that Accucadd needs to write to has its Read Only attribute are set. |
 |
the Administrator has not given you Write access on your computer or your security settings. |
 |
a protection program (e.g. Fortress) is "over-protecting" Accucadd by denying all write access. |
To solve the problem simply remove the relevant
restriction(s). You will not be able to use Accucadd until you have resolved this issue.
Note that if you try to "install" Accucadd by dragging and dropping an image of it from a CD-R it will by default be read-only and you will get this condition.
